Common ALT Formats

This page features some of the more notable alt format types. The samples are from 2023-2024.

Beeline Reader

The Beeline Reader tool adds color changes to enhance the legibility of long passages.

The syllabus files with groups of words in different colors of red, blue and black.
The Beeline Format color codes different parts of the sentence to help readers understand phrasal structure.

Immersive Reader

The Immersive Reader format allows users to enlarge text or change the font face and background colors. It also features a “text to speech” or read aloud option similar to Read & Write.
