There are several assistive technology tools available at Penn State. These tools enable users with different types of disabilities to fully use digital technologies and documents.

Text to Speech (TTS)

Text to speech (TTS) applications are tools designed for individuals with reading differences such as dyslexia. They read text aloud, but also include highlighting tools, custom dictionaries and other study tools.

Screen Readers

Screen reader applications are designed for people with vidual disabilities. They include text to speech, but other utilities to assist with navigating menus, forms, buttons and links.

AT Labs

These are a few locations at University Park where students with disabilities can access specialized computer terminals and other assistive technology.
